IRCReport started once upon a time as IRCNews and prior to that it went through various different names all with the basic same goal, to report on not just the
niche IRC news but all the news, as time passed IRCNews and then later IRCReport expanded beyond just offering news but also offering files and resources. IRCReport's founder X-Ception is a fan of opensource so near every part of the site is powered by open source technology including the site and its extensions.
